Senior Geologist Byron Mitchell Suratos of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. V discussed about the Mining Forest Program of all operating companies in the Bicol Region to grades 7-10 students of Legazpi City in the recently held “National Ozone Protection Month” of the Environmental Management Bureau Region V last September 7, 2017 at the Embarcadero de Legazpi.

Ozone Protection Symposium aims to promote awareness on Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) and to inculcate to the students the importance of Ozone Layer.
