The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. V (MGB R.O.-V) has embraced the digital realm in implementing awareness and advocacy on Mineral Resources and Geosciences Development.

In a recently conducted webinar via Zoom application entitled: Webinar on Mining and Geology in the Philippines, MGB R.O.-V technical officers have discussed three (3) topics, namely: Salient features of RA 7942; Responsible Mining; and Geological Risk and Resiliency were catered to ninety (90) grade 11 and 12 students from the Legazpi City Science Oriented High School.

The said topics were based on the student’s syllabus about mining and geology and the lectures helped them understand especially this time of pandemic when lockdowns, quarantine, social distancing, and staying at home or learning from home highlighted the importance of digitalization to our new normal way of life.
