The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. V (MGB-R.O-V) has featured the #MineResponsibility Campaign during the Orawa san Masbate: The Masbate Island Exhibit on November 14-17, 2019 at Ayala Malls Legazpi Activity Center.
The exhibit mainly focused on Information, Education and Communication Campaign to inform the citizens/stakeholders on the wide-ranging benefits and economic potential of the country’s mineral resources; and promote viable, sustainable, environmentally-responsible, and socially-oriented mining programs and policies.
Further, on the same event the MGB R.O.-V officers reached out through IEC lecture on topics about Mining Technology and Geosciences. The topics discussed were the following: What is MGB by Ms. Kristine May Baldeo; Mining Tenements and Anti-Illegal Mining by Engr. Shiela Solomon; and Geohazard Awareness by Mr. Louie Delos Angeles.
